Hi all
Trying to add network printers to XP and 2000 client machines from 2003
print server.
I set up a new additional 2003 file and print server on 2000 mixed mode
domain environment, I and the clients are now using the file server without
problems. I set up printer shares, from clients I run add printers wizrd and
select find printer in Active directory, locate printer ok and select. Once
selected an error message appears saying Windows cannot connect to the
printer. Either the printer name was typed incorrectly, or the specified
printer has lost its connection to the server. For more info click help.
As domin admin I can connect to the printers through this method from the
clients.
Permissions are print for everybody.
I had this problem before on another domain, the problem was rectified once
I promoted the 2003 server into a domain controller. But this time the new
server is already a domain controller and is not letting clients connect to
this machine. No event viewer message is logged about this.
Can anyone help please?
