Assuming you are installing to the correct drive, try disconnecting 2nd hd,
then booting with win cd and deleting partition D, then recreating

What size is your D partition?

lolol .. of course you're right and that was a typo I missed ... I
actually had 32Gb (not b) and now have 36Gb available out of a 40Gb
partition.
