I should also have said that you might want to try adjusting the vidcard settings instead of the Samsung monitor settings.
To do this, go to Control Panel/Display and there hit the Settings tab.

I recently installed Win 2000 on a 233mHz , P-II, 40GB H/D, 320MB RAM, and loaded all "My Docs" from tape onto the hard drive. One obvious, immediate problem was my family pics were very dark. I increased the brightness on my Samsung CRT to the max, and used the scanner editor to adjust the pic brightness, but two Power Point videos could not be fixed. Adjusting brightness was not a real fix to the problem, in my view, just an intermediate step. I attempted to download either of 2 updated video drivers but the guidance I received was that neither files were compatible with Win 2000. My CRT is still under warranty and it works perfectly, so I'm guessing maybe I need a change in video/displayadapter driver card(s). I am have a real problem finding any guidance on the net. Device Manager says Display adapter is Velocity STB 128 "period" and video is Legacy Video Capture Device.. What might the answer be to this vexing problem? or where can I find what video/dispaly adapter driver would be compatiblr wirh my setup/Win 2000? Thanks
