win2000 sp4 and pcmcia 16 bit card

    Hi, I have just upgraded to win2000 from 98 and found that non of my pcmcia
    16bit cards are being detected- orinoco classic gold, netgear ma401 and
    xircom net. I have tried doing a fresh install of 2000 (formatting hdd) with
    no luck and also tried the microsoft knowledge base solution with no luck:

    P.S the cards worked fine when i had win98 running.

    My setup details:

    Time laptop
    450mhz amd
    64mb ram
    6gb hdd
    8mb graphics.
    2x cardbus slots
    Win2000 sp4
