The steps are correct. You would delete the current 6GB partition, then
create a 2GB and a 4GB.
You have a potentially serious problem. A 2GB partition is on the verge
of being too small for W2k. W2k may install OK, but you will sooner
rather than later find the 2GB system drive at capacity and the system
crippled. You would do much better to purchase a larger drive and add it
to the machine, then give W2k a 3-4GB partition. Use the remaining space
on both drives for apps and data in other partitions.
If the new drive is significantly faster than the current drive, put the
3 or 4GB system partition on the new drive, which would be installed as
master. The current drive becomes slave. Jumper the drives correctly
while you have the box covers off.
