I am trying to get a windows98se machine to actually function with the
"all users" profile, but failing miserably, specifically with the start
menu. On my win2k machine, the program shortcuts one puts into the all
users folder appear very nicely for all users, as expected. On the
win98se machine, NOTHING appears in _either_ of the 2 all users folders
(in c:\windows\profiles and directly under c:\windows). Nor does c:
\windows\start menu seem to function. There are 4 logins to the win98se
machine - why will the all users function NOT work? I have to manually
duplicate all the entries for each of the start menus. Either I am
doing something worng, or there is a registry hack/tweak that must be
done to make this work.
