2 machines cannot ping each other
Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance
Hi there,
I have 2 machines on the LAN one W2K Pro with no firewall and one XP
Pro0 with the firewall off, they have DHCP IPs, same mask and gateway
but cannot ping each other by either IP or name but they can ping
gateway. If I bring a third machine they can ping it but pinging the 2
machines above or VNC into them, they do not respond.
I have a feeling windows is corrupt.
Thanks a lot, T
.
