Obviously the computer is part of a domain. Being part of a workgroup he
wouldn't get that message.
A quick fix would be to unplug the network cable and then try to login.
You might have to rejoin the domain. Ask your help desk or system admin.

The problem is: My routine Windows 2000 boot up was taking about 3-4
mintues with NO problem.
Today i made a big mistake by installing Visual Studio 6. I installed
and after reboot, my Windows 2000 did not opened and hanged at
"starting windows" then hanged at "Account password prompt".
The error message is: "The system cannot log you on now because the
domain is not available".
What should i do?
