Hi,

I have a domain all setup and running fine, recently we added a new client machine to the setup and it has a couple of folders that will be shared but only yo certain people - however when I go into the security tab it only shows me the local computer and not the domain name to grabbed the user list from.

Why? (baffled tbh lol)

All the other client machines logon to the domain but do so from the startup screen option of logging in as their own local machine i.e. mypc(This Machine) and these machines use the domain for the sharing security, really curious why this one machine has decided no too.

Thanks in advance.

Your statement, "All the other client machines logon to the domain but do so from the startup screen option of logging in as their own local machine", is sort of contradictory. You say they are logging into the domain, but that is not so if they are choosing the option to log into the local machine. Have you joined the new computer to the domain? You will not have the option to log into the domain until the computer is a member computer. I suspect this is your problem. Also, this new computer is an Windows 2000 Pro or XP pro, right? (not XP home). XP Home computers cannot participate in a domain.
