If your profile is synched and it hasn't been too long since you had an
actual connected logon, you should log right in. After a while (long time)
your "cached credentials" will expire and you'll need to actually connect to
the network. I log on to my laptop (using my domain logon) for weeks at a
time without ever connecting to the work LAN.

I have a work laptop logging on to a domain at work. when I take the
laptop
off the network, and I try to log on (not to 'this computer') I get the
error
'no logon servers available' How can I fix this? I have a roaming
profile,
win xp?
