This turns out to be related to firewall on the Pro workstation

Hello,
I have a home network :
Windows 2000 server
1 XP Home workstation
1 XP Professional (that I just upgraded from XP Home)
Linksys ethernet cable/dsl router.
After upgrading XP Home to XP Professional, I can't ping the Pro
computer from the server
or the Home workstation.
I CAN ping the Home workstation and the Server from the Pro.
Tried switching the ports on the Linksys to no avail.
The default gateway is the same on both workstations (Linksys port)
(this doesn't even matter, does it, on a single segment network?)
I can't join the computer to the domain..."network name cannot be
found"
Communication between the Pro workstation and the server otherwise seem
good.
can rdp into the server from the Pro.
Bottom line, something seems screwed up with the network setup on the
Pro workstation that it cannot ping other stations on the network.
Any help or ideas appreciated!
I can ping the server by name from the Pro.
