Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear. The lack of access happened after removing
the computer account and re-joining the domain. Unfortunately the
suggestions in the links you posted were mainly for windows workgroups,
but thanks nonetheless. I tried the relevant one.

The dns settings are identical to the other machines (obtaining an ip
automatically, same dns settings results after returning ipconfig
/all). Additionally I cannot browse Active Directory on the problem
machine, although I seem to be able to access the network again,
despite taking a very long time to login (which is normally due to
dns).
