you would need to different subnets (192.168.1.x is one? or are you using a
smal subnet mask?)
your question doesnt realy explain what you are trying to do, if you dont
need nat or routing, you are basicly just setting up to NICs with two
different ip adresses on seperate subnets, no traffic will move between
them.
otherwise you need routing, and to install RRAS
