I am trying to connect three computers to a home network with a crossover
network cable that hass worked before. I have a laptop running XP Home, and
Desktop with XP Pro, and a desktop with Win2k. I run the create new network
wizard on both the XP machines and they can share the internet connection but
not see each others files. Same thing on the XP home to Win2k machine. I
cannot come up with a combination of setting to allow any one of the
computers to see and of the others whether I have only 2 or all 3 hooked up.
The message I get is network path not found / no rights contact
administrator. The laptop has been able to connect to other computers this
way before and now I don't know.
(Also for some reason my laptop says I cannot access windows update because
it has been disabled by an Admin. I am the admin.) Thanks
.
