It will probably help others to answer (I am no networking expert) if you
state some brief details, for example what Operating system is on the PC the
printer is linked to and what is your system.
2000 and XP are pretty good at fixing themselves up with printer drivers and
the like, older systems like 98 demanded that you install the printer driver
on YOUR machine as well as the one hosting the printer.
Printer drivers can contain security flaws, so 2000 and XP can be set to
prohibit users from installing them, this means if you have a corrupted
driver it may be difficult for you to replace, although to be honest it
doesn't sound as if permissions is the case.
Make sure your PC and the printer PC are in the same Workgroup - default is
Workgroup - and that nobody changed the sharing permissions on the printer
PC too.
Can you clarify what you mean by "Installed 3 times", although if both
machines have 2000 that shouldn't be too troublesome.
