Use "net share" command on the shared computer to check share status. If there is not a share named "IPC$" in the share list, use "net share ipc$" command to create it.

I have two W2k pro computers connected via a hub. I have had sporadic
communication between them. I had one (Unit2) able to see itself and Unit1.
Unit1 could only see itself, regardless Unit2 was able to pull files from
Unit1. I left them for about an hour, when I came back Unit1 was giving me
"The server is not configured for transactions" what does this mean and how
is it fixed.
