cant access server by using user name and pass word

I have username and password int the server and server is a domin
controller.from my client mechine login time i enter as a user
uderdomain..its showing a message no Domain available.but i login as a local
user in the system and go to start -Run the enter the server name its dispaly
menu specifying enter username and password.At this time i can acces the
server .any one can say what is the problem
