ICS works under some restricted circumstances, but has problems working with
setups that many of us have.

For example, if you are running firewall software on the system that
directly connects to the Internet, you wil probably have to lower its level
of protection for ICS to support browsing from a connected machine.

Similarly, if you use any kind of VPN, you will probably bump into an
incomapatibility with ICS.

A far more usable configuration is to get a router (wired or wireless) and
connect that to your high-speed Internet feed (Cable modem, DSL, etc), and
support all you systems from the router.

The only advantage that i can find for ICS is that it is free. You get what
you pay for. :-)
