I put a W2K machine on a small network today. The network had consisted of 2
W98SE machines tied to a Westel router in a small offfice. The owner asked me
to replace one with a W2k machine (memory issues, she wanted a gig of memory
in the new machine) I attached the machine as the old one was, and made it
part of the workgroup. I've missed something, The W2K machine doesnt see the
W98 one, the W98 machine will see the new one, but when I try th access it,
it askes for a password. The administrators PW nor tthe usesrs pws work. I
cant find where this PW is origionating on the W2K side. I'm stumped. Has
anyone seen this kind of problem before? Ill be checking this group hourly as
I keed rooting around the web looking for an answer. Any pointers wil be
appreciated, Thanks for readding this, lotsa thanks if you can give me a
clue. I will report the resunts of any suggestions
