Make sure you added the machine to the domain.
Try connecting with the "net use" command in the command prompt and then see
if you can navigate to the new directory using the "cd" dos command.
i.e.
net use S: \\servername\sharename
cd S:
if all else fails, instal a new network card. I don't know if you are using
an on-board net card, but I have not had much luck with them.
