Yep. You need to be a local administrator to remove your computer from the domain.
You can use Group Policy to try and hide the control panel applet for System
Properties and remove it from the context menu for My Computer which may slow down
some of those whose curiosity gets in their way. Also post a logon message for those
users - $50 to rejoin your computer to our domain. --- Steve
