I've set up a WLAN around a Motorola WR850 router; one Centrino laptop (XP),
one older laptop with Motorola WiFi adapter (XP), one Dell 4100 desktop (W2K
Pro, no service packs).

The Dell cannot access the Internet. I run ipconfig/all and it arises that
the Dell won't obtain an autoconfig IP address. DHCP is enabled on the Dell.

I can ping the Dell from both laptops. When I check the router's networking
control panel, the router says "Dell is alive." All router diagnostics show
that the Dell is well and humming along on the network. But no Internet on
the Dell.

I disabled "obtain an IP address automatically," entered all details
manually, restarted... but no Internet.

How do I get around this? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated... Many
thanks.
