I don't know the exact reason but I would make sure that they are running wins on the
domain controller and that the domain controller is a wins client as are all the W98
computers. W98 computers rely on wins to find the domain controller. Another thing to
try is the install the Directory Services Client on a couple of the W98 computers and
configure then to be able to use ntlmv2 authentication to see if it makes a
difference. I believe Microsoft may have an updated version of the DS Client if you
call them and tell them you are having problems in a W2K domain. --- Steve
