Lockups with wireless file transfers and browsing?

I have been having some strange locups when attemting to use windows
explorer for file browsing and transfers to/from my 2000 server. I have
used different servers, workstations, nic's and access points. When wired I
don't get any problems, only when wireless. The server and workstation both
seem to lock (actually since the mouse still works I think they may just be
unresponsive). After awhile, the workstation will come back but the server
is locked tight, can't even get task manager to respond and allow me to
terminate a process or even see who is nailing the cpu. The only way to get
it back is to power down, which I really hate doing.

I think I have eliminated all possible hardware and software and was
wondering if anyone has ever encountered or heard of anything like this?
BTW I'm using 802.11b wireless hardware, mostly Linksys, but have
substituted a Siemens wireless router and dlink wireless nics to no avail.
Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

Pat
