NetBIOS over TCP/IP on modem connection

    In response to John suggesting that the problem might be
    that the "TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper" service is not running:

    Thanks for suggestion. However this service is started
    automatically on my pc ... as I guess is the default.

    Also it would not explain why options regarding NetBT is
    available on the WINS tab only for LAN connections and not
    for modem and VPN connections.
