If nothing else helps try uninstalling it and then reinstalling it paying close
attention to what you say yes and not to. I personally do not use a personal firewall
when behind a router/firewall and have never had a problem with ten computers on our
home network. If you keep up to date on your critical updates, have virus protection
that keeps itself and scans emails, and keep your IE security settings fairly high
you should not have anything to worry about sitting behind your perimeter firewall.
When I do use a personal firewall I find that the free Zone Alarm one is perfectly
adequate and easy to configure. There is also a firewall newsgroup
[comp.security.firewalls] where you may want to post and it is very active
ewsgroup. --- Steve
