I have a dell latitude C600 running windows 2000. I set up a small home network with a dsl router to share internet and printer with my home desktop. The network works fine, but I am having problems with using the laptop when not connected to the network. When not connected to the network, some programs open and immediately close. All MS office programs open and then report an error. Other unrelated programs begin to load, but before they open, an application error window pops up which reads: The instruction at "0x606124e3" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read". When I connect to the network, everything opens properly and I can see the LED flashing on the network card indicating network activity while each program loads.
Anyone have any idea what I did wrong, and how I can fix it?
Thanks for the help,
Jeff
