I have Windows 2000 on a P4 1.5 with an internal USR
Sportster 56K modem. Device manager is reporting the modem
on com 5. I can run diagnostics on it. I can use hyper
terminal.

However, when I attempt to create a connection with Dialup
networking the connect using field shows "Modem -
unavailable device Com 1" and the status
reports "unavailable - device missing"

any sugestions would be appreciated

Thanks
