I am trying to share the Internet connection between my two machines.

Here is the scenario,
The first machine,
OS: Windows XP Pro
-Connect to the Internet with a Modem.
-The Internet Connection is shared.
-It got a personal firewall running.
-Can't use IE to open Website.
-Netscape works fine.

The second mahcine,
OS: Windows 2000 Pro
-When this machine try to go on the Internet, it forces the first machine to activate its modem and dial for a connection.
-However, there is no Internet Connection, When runs the IE or Netscape. Can't open any web page.
-I have changed the setting on the IE-Internet Options->Connections Tab->LAN Settings->Checked Automatically detect Settings, but still doesn't work.
-I have no idea how to work with Netscape 7.0, so i have left all the setting as default. However, I wonder do i need to change any setting in the Netscape-Preferences-Advanced-Proxies.
-Have no problem obtain the IP address from simple DHCP from the Windows XP Pro.
-Have no problem pinging the Windows XP.

Do i have to open any port on the Windows XP firewall in order to get the Internet sharing working? If i do, which port do i have to open or what is the range of ports do i have to open?

Why the Win2000 can force the WinXP to dial for a Internet Connection but how come it can't get any Internet connection?

Why the IE on the WinXP can't open any Website but Netscape can?

Any Help will be greatly appreciated!!
