Hi
I'm going to add a ADSL Router to a Windows 200 Server
network with 6 clients. DHCP is enabled on the Win2k PC
and the clients are all configured to use DHCP.
The router has its own DHCP server which I have diabled
and assigned it a fixed IP address within the Win2k DHCP
address range, this addrsss I have excluded in the scope
for the DHCP on the Win2K PC. The router is on the same
subnet as the rest of the network.
In the DHCP services I have added a scope option 03 for
the router and put the IP address of the router in this.
My question is... Is there anything else from a Win2k
Server point of view that I need to attend to in order
for the network to use the router to access the internet?
Do I need to configure DNS forwarding??
The router will be configured with the ISP static IP
address and DNS server information.
Any comments would be greatfully appriciated..
Thanks
Shaun
