Here's what I have, bare with me on this. All machines and servers are win2k
Lan1 = 192.168.1.0
Lan2 = 192.168.2.0
Both of these lans have there own router attached and are connected to one
switch that is parted into 3 vlans. I have resources (mail,printing file
sharing) on lan1, I have a dhcp server that has two nics one to each lan.
The resource servers only have one nic but have multiple ip's assigned to
them, one for each lan. All servers on lan1 are registered with
wins and dns with an address from lan1. when I try to ping one of these
servers by name from lan2 it returns with the address from lan1, which makes
sense
because they get there name resolution from wins, How can I get these
machines to
find these servers on the local lan by name ? I know I can use lmhost files
in each machine but wanted to avoid having to place this on all machines.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
