We have a windows2000 server. And want to use the
Performance Monitor in WinXP to monitor for instance, CPU
untilization on the remote computer. When adding a counter
in Performance monitor there is an option to select a
remote computer by computername ( \\remote ), but when I
try i get "could not connect".

I ofcource realize that it has something to do with
permissions and I have read in the knowledge base how to
add counters. That is not really hard. It just says

"To monitor on a remote computer, you must make sure that
the user you are running as has administrative on the
remote computer"

Uhm... as far as I know there is no way that I on the
remote computer can add administrative access to a user in
the my own computer. How do I do this? Plz! Help me.

All permissions are set in the "local users and groups"
section of computer management right????

If you can't answer it and I am on the wrong newsgroup, plz
direct me to the right group. Thanx.
