Computer locks up on a black screen when we switch from
full screen DOS back to windows.

When you go to the COMMAND PROMPT and then use ALT ENTER
to make that a full screen, the compaq EVO locks up when
trying to get back to windows. It may not happen the first
time, but with in 5 switches the computer will lock up
when using an LCD monitor. Now you usually can switch back
to the full screen DOS, unless you have closed that
application and then you are stuck in no mans land.

You can duplicate the by using the command prompt.

There is simply no way to get back to windows with out
rebooting!!
