Thanks, Bill
the other PCs are all XP. I only have one vaild Vista Disk.
So I went all out and thought I try it on the MAC.
At this point I am just trying to confirm this can be done??
wish I had a vaild copy of XP. just to cofirm its not the OS some how.
Eveything else appears ok.
Bill, have you heard of anyone else doing this.
Hi Bruce!
That's encouraging. I'd hate to think something with hardware comes into play here. That would be very strange.
I think your best best is to determine if you can join Vista to your domain from any machine, not just the Mac. If you have a second hard drive that you can put into one of your non-Mac Intel boxes and image that with Vista then I'd expect you'd see the same message. Or you could probably install one of your XP licenses on your Mac just for testing purposes.
Either way, you need to eliminate one of the two variables--the Mac or Vista.
Hope this helps!
