Can anyone help ? I am literly pulling my hair out. I can not get a zone
list or set a default zone on a Windows 2000 server.

I get the following messages in my event log:

"The node ID obtained during Appletalk iniyialization on adapter "NETGEAR
GA621 Gigibit Fiber Adapter" was assigned to another device. Current node ID
was released and a new node ID was acquired from the seed router in the
seeded range"

Then I get the following event:

"Unable to aquire a node on adapter "NETGEAR GA621 Gigibit Fiber Adapter".
Appletalk could not be started on the adapter. "

Then I get the following event:

" No adapder is configured to be the default adapter. Appletalk was not
initialized on any adapter. Services over Apple e.g Print Server, File
Server etc. will not be functional unless a default adapter is specified:

I also have an Intel Pro 100 NIC in the system which I disabled in network
properties. I clicked on the Advanced in the properties and moved the
NetGear card to the top in hopes that this would make it the default card.
Still no luck. I have spent days researching this issue and all sites have
indicated that I don't have a default NIC card.

What the heck am I missing ? My server is running SP4, I have tried it with
SP2 and SP3.

I then enabled the Intel card and disabled the Netgear and moved the Intel
card to the top in the advance settings. I get the same problem and the same
events now the Intel card listed and not the NetGear.

Please HELP .....
