Hyperthreading and Win2K SP4
Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry
I know hyperthreading is only partially supported in Win2K
(it sees the second processor as a separate physical CPU,
not a logical CPU). My question is, does Win2K ever use
this second CPU for its own purposes, or for apps that are
not specifically multiprocessor aware?
No matter what I run, the second logical processor just
seems to sit there unused, and I'm wondering if I should
just disable it and reinstall Win2K.
