Asus A7V600 X

I recently purchased an Asus A7V600 X motherboard and after booting up got a
Stop Error message Inaccessible_Boot_Device. I checked all my connections and
they were secure. Then I checked the Microsoft Hardware Compatability List
and noticed that it is not listed on the list for Windows 2000 Pro OS which I
have. However the Asus A7V600 F is listed. When I go online on a friends
laptop which I borrowed to check where to purchase it I noticed that no one
sells it nor do they sell any of the motherboards recommended on the
Microsoft Hardware Compatability List. I've checked Tiger.com, Beat Price,
Google's Froogle site and various manufactures webpages.

As I check the specs of all the motherboars that are available on the market
now I don't see any mention of whether they run Windows 98, W2K or ME or
anything. Someone also told me that the motherboard should not be an issue in
reagrds to the operating system I am running.

I tried updating the BIOS and got the same message.....INACCESSIBLE BOOT
DEVICE. Finally I was able to boot off my W2K CD and wound up having to
partion my HD and reload Windows 2000 but now I'm getting all kinds of Stop
Error messages like 07F UNEXPECTED KERNEL MODE and 050 PAGE FAULT IN NON
PAGED AREA and 04E PFN LIST CORRUPT. I still didn't get Windows to completely
load up on my hard drive. And even if I did after all those messages I'm not
so sure how stable it would be.

I finally gave up and decided to see if anyone has any recommendations as to
wheter I need a new motherboard, Hard Drive, CPU and or RAM. All the postings
relating to these error messages have refered to any of the above hardware
problems. I'm no longer getting the INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE message but now
I'm getting all these other messages. I am besides myself and don't know what
else to do.

Any ideas would be welcome.
