SCSI drive trouble

Hello,

I have an old PC (PII MMX 266 Mhz) with an SCSI drive. I disconnected
the SCSI cable from the controller, tried to boot from CD and then
later connected the cable again. Since then my hardrive does not show
up.

I ran SCSISelect Utility on bootup for my Adaptec AHA 2940 UltraW and
the SCSI disk utility but my harddisk does not show up under LUN 0
anymore. No SCSI Bios is beeing installed anymore.

How can I force a detection of my harddrive?

I already uninstalled the controller card an installed again, checked
cables but nothing shows up. When I boot I can hear the drive working
and it is "hot", so, power is available.
