System crashes at random

    Hi,

    I have got a very strange issue at my pc:

    - the system crashes without any reason
    - it happens during booting or after doing nothing for a while
    (like sleeping mode)
    - it happens completely accidental, there is no way to reproduce it
    - screen switched off (no graphical signal)
    - reset, keyboard, even cd-rom open has no effect - but PC still runs

    system:
    - board: Enmic 8TEX+
    - os: Windows 2000 Pro, SP4, Build: 1495
    - processor: AMD 2000+
    - ram: 512 MB
    - graphics card: Radeon 9000

    the follwing reasons can be excluded:
    - graphics card (tried with another)
    - RAM (tried with another)
    - CPU-Temperature (is low)
    - external devices (tried without any)
    - Power Management (BIOS- and OS- Power Management is switched off)

    ...seem like a software problem, because it only crashes after
    starting Win2000, under my second OS Win98 there is no crash.

    Does anyone has a clue what the reason could be or what I still should
    try?
