Sorry if out of topic, but i cannot find w2k3 group ....
After installing windows 2003 standard server on a motherboard
intel PBZ 875 chipset, with SATA HD, the disk subsystem run very slow (< 5
mb/sec.).
It seems to be a level of incompatibility between 2003 and this
motherboard.
There are no specific sata drivers on the intel site for 2003.
Nor the INF Intel file help to resolve.
Strange fact, using SATA drivers from WinterPark (other Intel MB of server
level) the disk subsystem return very fast, but at the first reboot windows
2003 lose the drivers installation ..... and i must reinstall them ....
Reboot and all is OK .... but i cannot reinstall drivers every reboot :)
Is this a wanted Intel policy to don't permit to use more cheap desktop
motherboards for server use or i am wrong in something ?
I have tested this problem in 3 different environment, same MB but
different PCI hardware: same results.
I need to create a MSDN 2003 test environment with this MB, for testing all
2003 server series products, but with small cost MB ....
Thank in advance for support.
