Hallo.

I have a big problem with my new notebook.
I bought a hp notebook with an
AMD XP 2800+ mobile processor with
PowerNow! Technology.
The problem is that the PowerNow! technology
doesnīt work with win2000.
There are drivers for this technology on www.amd.com
but they donīt work. I read that this problem occur
on XP mobile processors which are faster than
XP 2600+. I also read that there was a problem
concerning the PowerNow! technology under Windows XP.
Mircosoft released a patch wich fixed the problem in
the servicepack for XP but I guess there is no patch
for win2000.

Can anybody help me ?
Does anybody know if there is a patch ?
If not, does anybody know if there is a patch
planned to be released ?
Otherwise I have to send the notebook back to
my vendor and buy a notebook with Intel
Pentium SpeedStep Technology...
I want to avoid using win xp in any case.

Thank you very much in advance for any response,
with kind regards:
Hilmar K. Hoherz
