The problem you have with large manu. such as HP, Dell etc is that they make
have 'tweaked' installed hardware for their own purposes and as such a
hardware manu. driver may not function correctly.
You could try uninstalling the hardware, then reinstalling to see if that
works, but baring in mind the 'not reccomended msg' you might be advised to
buy a soundcard and disable the onboard sound in the bios.
