Problem with my Win2000 Desktop

Hi guys,

This is my work machine and I connect to domain for my work.
Yesterday, my machine stopped working. Weird thing is it boots up and
waits for long time at "Windows starts messagebox" then long time at
"Preparing network connections" and then goes to login, But none of my
login work. Even if I try local machine login, it says "System cannont
find <localmachine> domain"

My (inbuilt) network adapter showed orange light, so I disabled that
in bios and attached new network card which shows green led but still
same problem. I see an orange led glowing in the middle of the
motherboard, does it mean there is some problem in motherboard? If it
is how can a system bootup till login screen? CAn anyone help me out
as soon as possible. I am kind of freaking out as all my work is in
that machine.

Thanks a lot for your help.
