When the computer starts I can see in the Application log Event 1054 which
says that the domain contrller does not exist
This is usually a symptom of misconfigured DNS. It should be using a DNS
server set up for the AD domain.
Compare it to a working computer.

I have an IBM thinkpad r40 with built in wireless. The onboard Intel
10/100 nick died so I have a PCMCIA Linksys PCM200 10/100 nic installed.
Non of my GP managed software installs are deploying to this notebook which
has a fresh install of XP Pro SP2.
When the computer starts I can see in the Application log Event 1054 which
says that the domain contrller does not exist and the GP processing will
be aborted.
What I have done so far was to ping this computer while it is booting and
I saw that I do not get any type of response until the computer has been
at the Logon screen for a couple of seconds. I am guessing that the
network is not becoming ready before my GPs start to get applied. Is
there a setting to wait for the network to become ready?
