Hi you can administer with W2k but you cannot install the GPMC on W2k. You will not see all XP policies as W2k is older. So I strongly suggest you get a XP Workstation as Admin-PC. ;)
Your existing GPOs will be updated with the newer adms of XP. It won't change any setting within the GPOs.
