Print Option is IE

I am working on securing some library kiosk machines. I am using the kiosk
template provided my microsoft, but I am having an issue where the print
option disappears from the file menu option in IE (File/print). When I use
the printer option on the menu bar, I got prompted to save the document as
an image writer file first before I can print. I can see how users are not
going to like that. I have done a lot of reasearch and could not find any
help out there. Does anyone have any idea.

The computer that I am testing on has a local printer attached to it.
