Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I have a Windows 2000 professional PC which used to be part of a domain
but now isn't. Although I know the administrator password for my PC, I
can't get full control as it overrides my local policy settings to
effective settings that stop me doing important things like copying
files. Are there any tricks out there for removing the domain
restrictions? (I don't have DSA.MSC installed nor the W2K installation
CD).
