Ok ill see if i can figure that all out this week when im off ill repost if i
get it or if i cant figure it out
Im not all that great with networking but i can do a fare share with
computers

and Default gateway. I use my DSL router at home for DHCP and it is also
the DNS "server". Just point with the preferred DNS ip to the router should
work. To really test it, disconnect the DNS server form the LAN and change
the ip to the Linksys and try to go to the internet. If it does not work
i would check the router configuration first and try again.

Yea that would probably help huh LOL
3 PC's always running including the server lynksis router hooked up to
DSL
the 2 other PC's hooked up are running windows XP the server is
running
windows 2000 sp4

I have a DNS server on my local area network that a friend of mine
set
up for
me. I want to remove it because the computer its on is an older one
and if it
craps out on me we have no internet the way he set it up
Any help towards getting this thing removed is greatly appreciated
