Re: Is there a way to install the WIA service in Windows 2000?

Hello PROPHARM,

Sorry, don't know about that.

Is there something that can simulate WIA in W2K, or anything that can
make scanning more stable? Maybe a windows update of some sort?

Thanks

Hello PROPHARM,

W2000 doesn't support WIA. Have a look here:

My company uses our own application to scan docments through a
"Plustek Mobile Office D28 Corporate" scanner, but our application
freezes periodically. The only fix we have found is to use a WIA
driver that uses the WIA windows service. I see the WIA service is
in later Window's O/S' like XP, but I need it in Windows 2000.

Thanks
