Blank Desktop

We setup dual boot for Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP
Professional. For some reasons, when we boot up to Windows 2000, the
screen came up blank. We do not see any icons on the desktop. The only
thing on the desktop is the mouse cursor. Is there a way to fix this
problem?

Thanks.

Diane
